WELLNESS APP
Design of a mobile application
Role: UX Designer
Client: National Wellness Institute
Team: 2 UX Designers
Context: Ironhack Bootcamp
Overview
The objective of this project was to create a “stress reduction and relaxation” application for the National Wellness Institute to help users to:
Adopt and maintain a relaxation routine for people suffering from stress
Evaluate their progress and share it with their personal coach
Understanding the user
To understand people who suffer from stress we conducted a series of surveys and interviews. We discussed with them about these questions:
• How does stress affect them?
• Which techniques do they like or would like to use?
• What are their main blocks?
The results of our survey were:
The main consequences of stress are anxiety and difficulty to sleep.
People prefer meditation and sport techniques, but the would like to have other options.
People need to be guided with suggestions and routines to combat their stress.
People need techniques adapted to their free time, which is very limited.
The information obtained in the survey allows us to define our user (user persona), as well as to identify the problems they face in their daily life in order to cope with stress (user journey).

Defining the solution
Based on our research, to help our users combat their stress , we could:
GENERATE A PERSOLALIZED ANTI-STRESS PLAN TO EACH PERSON
OFFER USERS ACTIVITIES ADAPTED TO EACH TIME OF THE DAY
ALLOW USERS TO SHARE THEIR PROGRESS WITH THEIR COACH
Information architecture
The sitemap shows us the different actions that the user can carry out in our application.

Look & feel
Regarding the visual design of our application, we look for atmospheres that recall calm and peace, helping our users to relax. We have chosen colors and images related to nature and soothing landscapes.
